Summer Work

For the past few months I have been working on paintings for Huntsville's July Gallery Tour. During the Gallery Tour, I was the featured artist at the Little Green Store. My work can be found there year-round. I've also been painting in preperation for one of my favorite art shows, The Monte Sano Art Festival. This one day event is always held on the third Saturday in September. I always have some sheep paintings at this show. In the past I have only painted black-faced sheep but this year I had paintings of white faced sheep. I still emphasized the contrast of warm and cool colors but painted these wet into wet. Most of my paintings have been a build up of thin layers but I'm very happy with the way these turned out and plan to continue this style of painting on some of my work. It's good for me to push myself into something new and I never want to quit learning.
